Boundaries Expanded to Include Calera and Howe

In 2016 Denison Little League expanded the boundaries to give more kids a chance to play in our league. That decision has made it possible for more kids to not only play in our league, but it has given more kids the opportunity to qualify for All-Star play. Currently, players who live inside our boundaries or go to school in Denison, Pottsboro, Bells, Sherman (including TCS and St. Mary's), Whitesboro, S&S, Achille, and Colbert are eligible to play in DLL along with being eligible for All-Star consideration.

This year, the DLL Board of Directors reviewed the boundaries and noticed an opportunity to give more kids just outside of our boundaries a chance to play in DLL and also qualify for All-Stars. The two areas that the board agreed would be obtainable are north to Calera, Oklahoma and south to Howe, Texas.

With Board approval, we submitted for a boundary expansion request in mid-November 2017. This process starts with local board approval then it goes to our District 8 Administrator for approval. If approved by the DA, it then goes to the Charter Committee for approval. The decision of the Charter Committee is the final and binding decision.

So we are pleased to announce that , with the approval of the District 8 DA and the approval of LL International Charter Committee, the request to expand to Calera and Howe has been approved and goes into effect immediately. This means that any child that resides inside the new boundary map (seen below) or attends Calera or Howe schools along with the previously stated schools above will now be eligible for All-Star consideration in our League.
